Organization for Trade Development and Standards Cooperation (ODCCN) is an international organization dedicated to promoting trade development and standards cooperation. Its establishment stems from a profound understanding of the close connection between trade and standards. With the in-depth development of globalization, trade activities have become increasingly frequent. And as an important tool for ensuring product quality, facilitating trade and enhancing international competitiveness, the importance of standards has become increasingly prominent. ODCCN adheres to the tenet of "Better standards for better trade, better trade for a better world", and is committed to promoting the connectivity, inclusiveness and sustainability of global trade through the formulation and coordination of standards. Building on this mission, ODCCN serves as a platform for global South-South cooperation and global North-South partnerships, reinforcing mutual trust and contributing to a more inclusive and sustainable global development, while advancing the role of MSMEs as key enablers of trade, innovation, and shared prosperity.
The concept of ODCCN originated from the joint ISO–ITC publication released in 2010, entitled:"Building linkages for export success — Trade Promotion Organization and National Standards Bodies working together", highlighted the importance of stronger collaboration between trade promotion organizations and national standards bodies—an idea that directly reflects the fundamental logic behind ODCCN’s creation. Based on years of successful practice and international cooperation, ODCCN was officially established in Switzerland(UID:CHE-228.577.402) and has received support from global stakerholders.
